If you are interested in coaching a team, please use the "Coach & Volunteer Registration" link above. Every coach must have a background check completed prior to receiving a roster. Prior to the start of every season there will be a coaches' meeting for both experienced and novice coaches to discuss rules, etc.
TEAM FORMATION
We cannot guarantee placement on any particular team. All stars are selected by managers of each division.
F.A.Q.
When do we find out who our coach is?
Once registration ends we have evaluations then players are drafted by coaches. They will be in contact within a week. Please understand all of our coaches are VOLUNTEERS and typically have regular jobs and families to attend to. Give them time.
Are there enough kids to make a team in an age group?
There is no definitive way of knowing until after registrations have ended, including late registrations. This rarely happens, but if there are not enough players, you will be contacted and a full refund will be sent if you have already registered your child.
What ages can play?
3 years to 14 years old - That is "league age" though, please check the DYB/DYS Rules & Age Chart tab
What are evaluations?
Evaluations are not try-outs. Everyone who registers, and is not placed on the waitlist, will be placed on a team. Evals are used to determine which level of play best serves your child in improving their baseball skills during the upcoming season. Skills that are displayed at evals are hitting, fielding, pitching, and speed.
What do we bring to evaluations?
All you need to bring (other than your kid) is a glove, if you have other equipment you are welcome to bring it.
Can my child play with their friend/relative?
NO REQUEST IS GUARANTEED!
Coach requests - There is an option during registration that allows you to enter a coach's name for request. These requests are made available to coaches during drafts and they can choose to fill their roster how they would like.
Friend requests - You can request this during registration and it will be made available to coaches during drafts, however, it is not guaranteed. There is usually no issue with coaches drafting paired players.
NO REQUESTS CAN BE MADE AFTER ROSTERS ARE FINALIZED AND REGISTRATION HAS ENDED.
I would like to talk to someone about a concern, who do I talk to?
Your coach should be your first point of contact for any issues, if your coach cannot help you then the next point of contact is your commissioner. You can see points of contact HERE and the best ways to contact them.
My team is interested in renting fields how do we set this up?
We rent fields on a monthly and yearly basis, contact Matthew Norred @ 318-550-6627 to schedule any days/months.
